Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. The music she grew up with was traditional Boleros from the past along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing in the early years with her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, as well being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. In 2000 she moved into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Alongside being a local performer and instructor, her love of art and music has her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
