Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born on August 8, 1989, in Paris. At the age of five and moved to Oxfordshire and attended an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become a professional actor since she was at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school that offers part-time classes. At the age of 10, she had appeared and played as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in the year 2001. The film is 2001's top production, and it broke records on opening day and first weekend. Reviewers were awed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma won the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for the feature Film. The actress was nominated five times for her performance in the movie.
