MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album made it to the 8th spot according to the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna in their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina that year. He also sang an duet with TINI's streaming top-selling single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo's brother and mother were musicians when Turizo was born. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. In his childhood he was taught how to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. While his initial career choice was becoming a vet, his brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the trajectory of his life.
